Vacation Leave
Vacation accruals occur monthly on the first of the month for the month just completed ( ex: employee who begins work July 1 would receive first vacation & sick accrual August 1 for working in July). Employees may accumulate up to 240 hours of vacation; at the end of each calendar year, all hours over 240 will get added to sick time balance.
Vacation accruals for 8 hour shifts (40hrs/week)
- Up to 5 years employment - 8 hours per month.
- At 5 years employment - 10 hours per month
- At 10 years employment - 13.17 hours per month
- At 15 years employment - 15.17 hours per month
- At 20 years employment - 17.17 hours per month
Vacation accruals for 12 hour shifts
- Up to 5 years employment - 8.5 hours per month.
- At 5 years employment - 10.62 hours per month
- At 10 years employment - 13.98 hours per month
- At 15 years employment - 16.1 hours per month
- At 20 years employment - 18.23 hours per month
Vacation accruals for 24 hour shifts
- Up to 5 years employment - 10.8 hours per month.
- At 5 years employment - 13.5 hours per month
- At 10 years employment - 17.78 hours per month
- At 15 years employment - 20.48 hours per month
- At 20 years employment - 23.18 hours per month
Sick Leave
8 hours per month for regular, full-time employees on 8-hr shift; 8.5 hours per month for 12.25 hour shift; 10.80 hours per month for 24 hour shift. Unlimited accumulation. May be used for employee's illness, medical appointments, or for the illness of a relative as defined in policy.
